Ukraine Accepts 30-Day Ceasefire With Russia

In a significant development in the ongoing war, Ukraine has agreed to a United States-backed proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, marking a potential step towards de-escalation after three years of conflict with Russia.
The agreement was confirmed in a joint communiqué issued by the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations following their meeting in Jeddah on Tuesday. According to the statement, both Kyiv and Washington “took important steps towards restoring lasting peace for Ukraine.”
