I Don’t Like Kendrick Lamar’s Music – Kanye West

Kanye West has stirred controversy once again, publicly stating that he is not a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s music and expressing displeasure over his presence on Playboi Carti’s newly released album, Music.

Carti’s long-awaited project finally dropped on Friday morning (March 14), several hours after its scheduled midnight release, featuring multiple appearances from the Compton rap icon. Kendrick delivers a verse on Good Credit, a track where he seemingly references Drake’s defamation lawsuit over the diss track Not Like Us. He also contributes to Mojo Jojo and Backd00r.

Despite previously working with Kendrick and even co-producing Backd00r, Kanye took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the album, making it clear that he was unimpressed. “I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC. HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM,” he wrote.

Ye’s remarks have ignited debates among fans, with some backing his critique while others defend Kendrick’s contributions. Meanwhile, neither Carti nor Kendrick has responded to Kanye’s comments.
