The heartbreaking discovery was shared by a local resident, Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, who posted a video online showing the abandoned baby girl. According to reports, the infant was found crying near the riverside in Ajaokuta, accompanied by a small bundle of baby clothes, a wrapper, and other personal belongings.

A community leader who found the baby confirmed that the local authorities had been notified. In the meantime, the compassionate members of the community have stepped in to care for the child while efforts are underway to locate her mother.
