Cross-Dresser Nabbed Inside Adamawa Church: Police Launch Investigation

A 19-year-old man, Mohammed Umar, found himself in hot water on May 18 after he was caught dressed in women’s clothes and loitering suspiciously around a church in Adamawa State.

According to the police, Umar, who lives along Abuja Road in Yola South Local Government Area, was spotted behaving oddly within the premises of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) in Ngurore. His outfit raised eyebrows, prompting one Sunday Andrawus to alert the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters.

Acting on the tip-off, officers quickly swung into action and arrested the suspect on the church grounds.

Now, the case has taken a more serious turn as the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a full-scale investigation. The matter has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yola for a thorough probe.
