Kano, Nigeria – February 26, 2025 – Security forces have sealed off the residence of the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, following intelligence reports indicating a potential attack by some youths.
According to a statement issued by the Kano State Police Command’s spokesperson, the operation was carried out early this morning as a precautionary measure to prevent possible violence. “We received credible intelligence suggesting that certain groups of youths were planning to attack the Emir’s residence.
