The funeral ceremony, held at the family compound in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area, was a heart-wrenching affair, with family members, friends, and community leaders struggling to come to terms with the senseless killing of the three innocent children.

During a requiem mass held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Archbishop Ebere Okpalaeke of the Ekwulobia Diocese delivered a poignant homily, drawing parallels with the biblical story of Cain and Abel. “Killing has been there since the creation of man,” he lamented. “These children, who were murdered in their early years, have become martyrs.”

As the community continues to grapple with the aftermath of this heinous crime, one thing is clear: the memories of Chikaima, Chimziterem, and Chimdirim will never be forgotten. Their tragic demise serves as a stark reminder of the darkness that lurks within humanity, and the urgent need for justice and accountability.

May their souls rest in peace.
